Introduction--The Proverbs 31 Woman

Women Witnessing is offering the Bible Study:
Finding the Proverbs 31 Woman

I am so glad you have decided to join us for this exciting adventure into God’s Word. Please be forewarned, Women Witnessing is embarking on a wild ride with God right now. If you are happy wandering along aimlessly, this probably is not the place for you. We are intending to get on board with God, and ride this train--destination unknown. As with any experience that takes you away from home, we expect to be changed by this adventure. We expect that all who travel with us will be forever changed. If the prospect of seeing new lands and speaking new languages excites you, all aboard!

This should be your first stop. Here you will find the text of each lesson. On Mondays, the main lesson will be posted. Each succeeding day of the week will be a daily exercises, walks through the Bible, to help us to better understand the theme for the week. This outlined study guide will take approximately 10 weeks to complete. We will tackle two lines of Proverbs 31 each week. It may seem like a long time, but during this time we will meet fascinating Biblical Women. By the end of our study together, you should have found yourself in the words of Proverbs 31. You should be able to say, “I’ve met my Biblical Sister”—a sister from the Word with whom you share commonalities.

For the first few weeks, the Bible study will be posted here. This is an interim space while our own Internet space is being built. Think of it as the Capital Campaign that meets Internet Real Estate. Once our own space is completed, we will move into our own space with, prayerfully, slightly easier to navigate features.

This is meant to be an interactive online experience. You must belong to the Women Witnessing Blog in order for your comments to be posted. Simply email me here in order to be added. Your comments are not posted automatically. I will read each comment prior to posting. So if your question is confidential in nature, or an off topic request, just simply note as such, and I will not post it.

Finally, do no think that you must live in Richmond, VA to participate. The web study is open to anyone from anywhere who would like to participate. We will meet locally in Richmond every other week because the Word expects us to gather frequently-- to me, that means over a hot cup of coffee and some kind of pastry. I would encourage you to find a group of women, at least one other, with whom to engage in this study. But, if not…consider this your group. I am a “more the merrier” kind of gal.

Oh, and I must say this, because, sadly, I’ve been asked: The Finding the Proverbs 31 Woman Bible Study is Free. You see no fancy DONATE button before you log in. Furthermore, the study is free to print. Each day’s lesson will be available in a non-updateable PDF format for you to download. If you would like a published version at the end of this study, there will be a form to fill out. You will be charged the cost of production and shipping only.

I will begin posting on April 9, 2007. Please email me at if you would like to have an interactive login to the study. (Again, it is not required. You may do the study without interacting.)

Ladies…thank you so much for allowing me to come into your life. It is a blessing to have you in mine.

Vida Christy
